The purpose of the Excellence3 Award is to encourage “Young” Investigators with high potential within CV (pre)clinical research to continue their scientific efforts alongside their clinical work and/or education.
The Excellence3 Award consists of a grant of € 50.000. The awarded sum should be used to facilitate a scientific and/or clinical rotation abroad (i.e. not for personal gain).
Prerequisites of the Excellence3 Award are:

• Nominee must be in formal training as a Internist or Cardiologist
• Nominee must have a PhD
• Nominee must not be older than 35 years of age

In addition, the Nominees need to prove the following:

• Clinical Excellence: recommendations by supervisor
• Scientific Excellence: CV and list of publications
• Presenting Excellence: State-of-the-art lecture on past, present, and future research at yearly event
